About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Sonographer to join our multidisciplinary team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations and providing diagnostic reports to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, general abdominal, gynaecological, small parts, and musculoskeletal examinations.
  • Provide diagnostic reports of examinations according to the level of authorization agreed.
  • Participate in service provision across all of the Trust's hospitals, working alongside a supportive and diverse team to deliver ultrasound services.
  • Communicate and liaise with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in ultrasound modality, with a comprehensive and extensive knowledge and experience in ultrasound areas mentioned above.
  • Previous NHS experience, with a strong understanding of the NHS and its values.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in obstetric, gynaecological ultrasound, and/or general abdominal ultrasound.
  • Competency in independent reporting in ultrasound, with the ability to achieve agreed levels of competency.
  • Excellent organizational and time management, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and counseling skills, with the ability to instruct and supervise others.
