Insurance Claims Specialist

Fully remote role, estimated salary £85,000 + benefits.
About the Role:You will proactively handle a portfolio of motor claims consisting mainly of high-value bodily injury with reserves in excess of £500,000. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and application of claims negotiation, liability decision making, and cost potential.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage your claims caseload in accordance with company standards, claims handling procedures, and service levels.
- Control claim costs by achieving the most economical settlement through good use of liability arguments and effective negotiation.
- Maintain good file discipline and accurate reserves, along with an effective diary system to ensure cases are reviewed regularly and handled in a timely manner aligned to SLAs &/or any Court timetable.
- Demonstrate strong and current working knowledge of personal injury claims with handling experience in serious injury.
- Show strong technical knowledge and application of Discount Rate, Care Claims, and other heads of claim applying to serious injury claims.
- Display good knowledge of medical disciplines required in investigating personal injury claims at all levels of severity.
