Role Overview:
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Youth Support Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a community setting, providing support to children, young people, and their families.

In this role, you will be responsible for acting as an enabler and system supporter, working closely with stakeholders to ensure that children and young people can thrive in their local communities. You will also be involved in mapping and developing close working relationships with local services to enable an integrated community response to meet the well-being needs of children, young people, families, and carers.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of mental health needs and experience of working with young people. As a Youth Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people, and contribute to the development of a comprehensive wellbeing service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as an enabler and system supporter
- Mapping and developing close working relationships with local services
- Working closely with stakeholders to ensure that children and young people can thrive in their local communities
- Providing support to children, young people, and their families

Person Specification:
- A qualification relevant to working with young people with mental health needs (e.g., degree or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of working with young people with mental health problems
- Experience of using a range of therapeutic approaches with young people
- Experience of group work
- Experience of delivering services in a community setting

Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is £37,338 - £44,962 per annum, pro rata. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and access to training and development opportunities.
