About Empower Youth Zones

Empower Youth Zones is a charity that oversees the creation, management and sustainability of Youth Zones in Manchester and Salford. Our goal is to provide children and young people with somewhere safe to go, something positive to do and someone trusted to talk to.

We operate two Youth Zones: HideOut Youth Zone located in Gorton, East Manchester which opened in 2020, and Salford Youth Zone located in Pendleton, Salford which is due to open to young people soon.

Our Youth Zones provide a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 8-19 and up to 25 for those with additional needs. We believe in giving them the skills, confidence and ambition to succeed.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Youth Development Coordinator to join our team at HideOut Youth Zone. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our Senior Club offer.

You will work closely with our Youth Workers to ensure a high-quality, creative and fun offer that focuses on the needs of our young people. Your passion for putting young people first will drive your continuous improvement of our delivery and input towards our strategic delivery plan.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for working with young people and delivering high-quality youth services
  • Experience of leading teams and developing strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
