About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Youth Empowerment Specialist to join our team at HideOut Youth Zone.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, providing them with opportunities to explore their interests, gain employability skills, and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with our partners, patrons, and stakeholders to deliver a diverse programme of activities, including homework clubs, career advice, mock interviews, CV writing workshops, financial literacy programmes, and work placement opportunities.

The role involves working a rota basis, including weekends and evenings, but also includes any 5 days of the week. This flexibility allows for a great work-life balance while still making a significant impact on the community.

As a member of our team, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment that prioritizes the well-being and development of both our young people and staff. You will have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities to help you grow in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and deliver high-quality youth empowerment programmes that meet the needs of our young people
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, patrons, and stakeholders
  • To work collaboratively with our team to ensure the smooth delivery of our programmes
  • To identify and address any barriers to participation or engagement among our young people

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as youth work, education, or social sciences
  • Experience of working with young people, preferably in a youth-focused setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to work a rota basis, including weekends and evenings
