We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Subject Leader and Teacher of Religious Studies to join our team at Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and teaching Religious Studies to students, promoting high standards of achievement and ensuring that students receive a well-structured and engaging learning experience.

As a Subject Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Religious Studies curriculum, monitoring student progress, and providing support to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and teach Religious Studies to students, promoting high standards of achievement and ensuring that students receive a well-structured and engaging learning experience.
  • Develop and implement the Religious Studies curriculum, ensuring that it is relevant, challenging, and meets the needs of all students.
  • Monitor student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and providing targeted support to ensure that students make progress.
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues, sharing best practice and expertise to improve teaching and learning.
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities, including contributing to the development of the academy's curriculum and assessment policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of teaching Religious Studies to students.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
