Job Title: Lead Teacher in Religious Education

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Teacher in Religious Education to join our team at Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading and developing our Religious Education department, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in their future careers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for Religious Education and a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning. You will be responsible for leading a team of teachers and supporting the development of our curriculum, ensuring that it is engaging, challenging, and relevant to our students' needs.

You will also be responsible for monitoring student progress, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to address these. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and students, ensuring that everyone is informed and supported throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Religious Education department, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that is engaging, challenging, and relevant to our students' needs
  • Monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to address these
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and students, ensuring that everyone is informed and supported throughout the year
  • Contribute to the development of our school's policies and procedures, ensuring that they are effective and relevant to our students' needs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong passion for Religious Education and a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and students
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to develop and implement a curriculum that is engaging, challenging, and relevant to our students' needs
  • The ability to monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to address these
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the development of our school's policies and procedures
