Key Responsibilities- Work under the indirect supervision of the Nursing Lead to deliver high-standard care to patients, maintaining their privacy and dignity.
- Support the nursing team in various clinical duties, including dressings and clinical observations.
- Conduct new patient and NHS health checks, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Participate in the development and implementation of service/CCG guidelines and protocols.
- Perform urinalysis and prepare specimens for investigation by the pathology laboratory.
- Measure and record physiological measurements, including blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, height, and weight.
- Assist regulated professionals during minor surgery and LARC fitting procedures.
- Undertake dressing procedures using aseptic techniques and local recommendations.
- Plan and implement health promotion activities, such as smoking cessation and healthy living initiatives.
- Assess patients' readiness to change and provide motivational support as needed.
- NVQ level 1 Healthcare qualification (desirable)
- Appropriate venepuncture training (if applying as a Phlebotomist)
- Previous experience in minor illness
- Ability to work productively in a high-pressure environment
- Act as a mentor for other clinical staff as required
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation
- NHS Pension with 20.6% Employer Contribution
