Insurance Team Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Account Handler Team Leader to join our team at Ardonagh Advisory. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will be responsible for leading a team of account handlers to achieve company forecasts, plans, targets, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive commercial insurance service to existing and potential new customers.
- Work to deliver annual targets, plans, and budgets for your respective sales area.
- Monitor personal and team members' performance against objectives, forecasts, plans, targets, and budgets and provide regular feedback to the Commercial Director.
- Carry out appraisals and performance reviews.
- Manage the team on a day-to-day basis, including monitoring team members' holidays and sicknesses, preparing and participating in disciplinary and grievance meetings in conjunction with HR.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional advice and support to team members when required.
- Identify and acquire new customers for the business in line with objectives, forecasts, plans, targets, and budgets.
- Identify, recommend, and agree corrective action with the Commercial Manager for any issues with you or your team, where deviations in performance below plans occur, or where other problems arise affecting sales or customer satisfaction.
- Be responsible for ensuring the collection of monies from clients within the Company's agreed credit period, both for yourself and your team, while maintaining good relationships with those clients and with insurers.
Requirements:
- Advanced commercial insurance knowledge and experience.
- Strong and effective organizational/time management skills.
- Experienced user of IT systems and Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced organization from a change management perspective.
- The ability to work under your own initiative and in many different and challenging environments in a fast-growing business.
- Recognizing when to ask for guidance in considering options and solutions.
- Ability to learn and understand new subjects quickly and deliver high-quality output within tight deadlines.
