Job Title: Soft Landscaping Contract Manager

About the Role

Kennet Landscaping Solutions is a leading commercial landscaping company based in Hermitage, Newbury.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee and manage our soft landscaping contracts. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills, with a minimum of 3 years' management experience in construction and/or landscaping.

Main Responsibilities
  • Line management responsibility for a team of up to 25 employees
  • Planning work schedules for crew leaders and labourers
  • Reading site plans and delivering clear instructions to teams
  • Undertaking site visits and completing reports/audits
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Coordinating the ordering of materials and distribution to site
  • Working within departmental budgets
  • Providing and costing variations quotations
  • Weekly/Monthly invoicing
Other Responsibilities
  • Control quality and ensure work is completed to specification and time frame
  • Working alongside other departments to ensure smooth operation
  • Day-to-day organisation of individual projects
  • Regular reporting on income and expenditure against budget
  • Investigating accidents and safety-related issues
  • Liaising with customers and providing clear advice
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years management experience in construction and/or landscaping
  • Excellent plant and tree knowledge
  • Able to read and interpret site plans
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Construction Health & Safety knowledge
About You

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £42,500-£47,500 pa dependent on experience, plus bonus scheme and company vehicle.
