Job Description

Job Title: Functional Project Manager - Vehicle Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Project Manager to join our team at Aston Martin. As a key member of our Programme Management team, you will be responsible for the delivery of components and ensuring that day-to-day activities align with timing and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of Bill of Materials within the function.
  • Monitor and steer component delivery to support Prototype Builds and work closely with various teams to support cost target setting.
  • Liaise with vehicle project managers to ensure timely completion of component-specific content to vehicle Gateway and Checkpoint deliverables.
  • Seek out opportunities to improve processes and implement changes to ensure alignment with timing and budget.
  • Form and maintain relationships across the business with strong ties to Engineering Product and Component Teams as well as cross-functional teams such as Finance and Procurement.

Requirements:

  • Project management experience with a focus on delivery and budget management.
  • Experience of relevant engineering function and complex budget ownership.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain relationships across the business.
