About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Somerset Diverse Communities Manager. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities in Somerset.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in community development, programme management, and leadership. They will be responsible for delivering a high-quality programme of work, promoting a learning culture, and driving growth through role modelling. The ideal candidate will also be able to utilise emotional intelligence and strong communication skills internally and externally to ensure the delivery of a high-quality programme of work.

In addition to their technical skills and experience, the successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders. They will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Somerset Diverse Communities team in CCS, working closely with senior leaders, community leaders, and stakeholders to deliver our strategic goals.
  • Manage a high-quality programme of work, promoting a learning culture and driving growth through role modelling.
  • Utilise emotional intelligence and strong communication skills internally and externally to ensure the delivery of a high-quality programme of work.
  • Ensure that the impact of SDC work is demonstrated and articulated to internal and external audiences, including contributions to fundraising and advocacy campaigns and materials.
  • Work with the Data & Insights Manager to contribute to the development of quality assurance systems.
