Somerset Community Development Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Somerset Diverse Communities programme. As a key member of our Programmes Team, you will work closely with the Head of Programmes, Community Leaders, Commissioners, partner organisations, and stakeholders to deliver our strategic goals.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of leading and managing teams, developing partnerships, and driving community development initiatives. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Somerset Diverse Communities team to deliver programme and strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with partners, collaborators, and stakeholders.
  • Drive community development through SDC work, supporting the team to identify gaps and implement sustainable community solutions.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
