About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our family of schools in Hull. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and promoting positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students on a one-to-one or small group basis to improve behaviour and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to implement behaviour strategies and interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with students to foster trust and mutual respect.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Assist in the development of personalised support plans for students with challenging behaviour.
  • Encourage and motivate students to develop self-confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive outlook.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students and making a difference in their lives.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the school environment.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
