About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Mentor to join our team at GSL Education. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with behavioural challenges on a one-on-one basis.
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting support plans as needed.
  • Work closely with teachers to integrate behaviour support into classroom activities.
  • Build positive relationships with students, fostering trust and respect.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people in a mentoring or support role.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to their learning.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
