Job Title: Team Leader for Cancer Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Cancer Services team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and management of the Multi-Disciplinary Team Co-ordinators/Patient Pathway Coordinators team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate the patient journey from referral, through diagnostics, treatment planning and treatment, highlighting any potential delays in the pathway promptly.
  • Ensure accurate data collection on Somerset in accordance with local and national requirements.
  • Provide absence cover for any member of the Patient Pathway Co-ordinator (PPC) or MDTC team as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all cancer targets and processes relating to cancer pathway management.
Requirements:
  • GCSE or equivalent in English or Mathematics.
  • Degree level or equivalent experience in a Team Leader role.
  • Previous experience working in administration/secretarial capacity in NHS or healthcare setting.
  • Experience of using computerised data systems and/or patient tracking systems.
