Behaviour Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join our Community Learning Disability Team in North Tyneside. Our team provides holistic healthcare support to individuals with learning disabilities, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality support.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals who present with complex physical and mental health issues, as well as a strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles. They will be able to work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement effective support plans.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting senior nurses with monitoring of behavioural case loads, assessments, and interventions
  • Managing risk in the community and liaising with the multi-disciplinary workforce
  • Implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans to reduce or prevent challenging behaviour
  • Offering early intervention and practical hands-on support to individuals and their families
