Job Title: Residential Childcare Worker

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Moxie People. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to young people aged 14 and above in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional and physical care to young people, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Work collaboratively with external partners and services to provide comprehensive support to young people and their families.
  • Key work with young people using a trauma-informed approach, focusing on building positive relationships and promoting independence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to robust safeguarding procedures.
Requirements:
  • Desirable: QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within safeguarding frameworks and managing risk in a responsive and calm manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, using appropriate tone and language.
  • Valid driving license, as a car is provided at the residential home.
What We Offer:
  • Permanent contract with full-time hours (35 per week).
  • Competitive salary, including £56.47 sleep-in rates.
  • 5.2 weeks annual leave, rising to a maximum of 6.6 weeks, plus bank holidays.
  • 8% pension after qualifying period.
