Job Title: Residential Childcare Worker

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Moxie People. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 14 and above in our residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional and physical care to young people, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Work collaboratively with external partners and services to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
  • Key work with young people using psychological and trauma-informed practice.
  • Provide a child-centered, kind, and empathetic approach to support.
  • Follow a robust safeguarding process and maintain accurate, timely, and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
  • Desirable: QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within safeguarding frameworks.
  • Understanding of the impact of trauma on children and young people.
  • Ability to effectively manage risk in a responsive and calm manner.
  • Experience of working in a psychologically and trauma-informed environment.
  • Ability to key work and engage with young people who have complex support needs.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Driving license essential.
