About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Llamau Limited. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to young people aged 14 and above.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to young people, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Support young people in building and maintaining relationships with their families and external partners.
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to manage key areas of risk, including health and safety and safeguarding concerns.
  • Record and evidence all key work activities in line with Llamau and CIW requirements.
  • Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental home environment that empowers young people to thrive.

Requirements
  • Current or expectation to register with Social Care Wales.
  • QCF level 3 in health and social care (children and young people) or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within safeguarding frameworks.
  • Understanding of the impact of trauma on children and young people.
  • Ability to effectively manage risk in a responsive and calm manner.
  • Experience of working in a psychologically informed environment.
