Independent Living Assistant

This is a permanent, full-time position at Great Places Housing Association. The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£35,000 per annum.
We are seeking an experienced Independent Living Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Independent Living team, you will be responsible for promoting and maximizing independence for older people within a user-led environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting customers to maintain their independence and thrive in their tenancy and community.
- Void management, allocations, managing tenancy end and new tenancies, customer inductions, rents, ASB and challenging behavior and breaches of occupancy agreements.
- Reporting and monitoring of repairs, maintenance and adaptations.
- General building management, health and safety, maintaining security and building compliance.
- Providing welfare checks, responding to alarm calls and emergencies when on site, and working closely with customers' relatives and support agencies.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records as required for the role and in line with Data Protection regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Working experience of applying Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience of basic housing processes and welfare benefits.
- Knowledge of housing and tenancy legislation and procedures.
- Able to travel to multiple locations.
- Driving license and access to transport.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
