About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Music Educator to join our faculty at an esteemed secondary school in Lambeth.

This position presents an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture young musicians, fostering a lifelong love of music.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive music curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Cultivate students' musical talent through a range of activities, including instrumental instruction, vocal training, music theory, and performance opportunities.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and tailor instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Music department and across the school to organize and lead concerts, ensembles, and other musical events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and encourages all students to participate in musical activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
  • Proficiency in a variety of musical instruments and genres.
  • A deep understanding of music theory, history, and performance practices.
