Music Teacher Opportunity at Excellent Secondary School in Southwark

We are partnering with a highly regarded secondary school in Southwark to find an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher to join their dedicated faculty in a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the school's dynamic Music department, inspiring the next generation of passionate individuals.

Role Overview:

The Music Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and rigorous Music lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the school's educational goals across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role entails fostering a love for music in students, equipping them with essential skills for the modern age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality Music lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Music department and across the school to enhance the learning experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with current pedagogical approaches and developments in the field of Music.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Music or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Music at the secondary level.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, reflecting your experience and qualifications, aligned with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS).
