The Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Barnett Hill Hotel, a 4-star country house hotel located in the heart of Surrey. As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the restaurant for service, ensuring all areas are clean and tidy
  • Meet and greet guests, taking orders and serving food and beverage
  • Complete satisfaction checks, ensuring guests are satisfied with their experience
  • Resolve any service issues, providing excellent customer service
  • Present bills to guests and take payment
  • Reset the restaurant at the end of the shift, ready for the next service

Requirements

  • You must have reliable transportation due to the hotel's semi-rural location
  • You must have a smart appearance, reflecting the hotel's high standards
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with guests and colleagues
  • A passion for guest service and experience within a quality food service hotel/restaurant is required
  • You must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, and be available for 37.5 hours per week

The Place

Barnett Hill Hotel is a beautiful Queen Anne-style property, set within 26 acres of lovingly maintained gardens and woodlands. Our luxurious Oak Room restaurant, Bar, Library, and range of sumptuous lounges and private dining rooms provide dining for all tastes. We also offer a range of private wedding and conference suites, as well as Utopia treatments in our designated treatment rooms.
