Sales Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team at Jacobs Douwe Egberts. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing world-class service to our customers, combining transactional sales, technical pre-sales support, and engineering excellence to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of customer interactions, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer queries and issues.
- Assist customers with technical queries, escalating issues to internal teams as needed, while maintaining responsibility for the customer interaction.
- Pre-qualify requests for quotation, conducting calls and providing timely and accurate quotations to customers.
- Produce high-quality quotations, including price, discount, and availability, and follow up with customers to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with internal teams, including Branch Managers, External Sales Engineers, and Internal Account Managers, to ensure seamless customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including CRMi records for discounts, contacts, and carriage.
- Support external sales teams with telesales initiatives and other business development activities.
- Take ownership of assigned accounts, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues and maintaining strong relationships with key customers.
- Attend training sessions and utilize allocated self-training time to stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
- HNC/HND or above in electrical or control engineering.
- A customer-centric service approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
