Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Performing Arts lecturer to join our team at Kidderminster College, part of the Newcastle College Group (NCG). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Performing Arts, with a specialization in Acting, Acting for TV and Film, and Estill Voice International (Singing and Voice).

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a wide range of Performing Arts courses across levels from Level 1 to Level 3, with the potential for Level 4 and 5.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and student-centered teaching methods, incorporating classical and contemporary acting techniques.
  • Provide expert guidance on acting techniques specific to TV and film, including scene study and audition preparation.
  • Teach Estill Voice International techniques, including voice production, vocal health, and performance anxiety management.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment materials, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Professional industry experience in Performing Arts, with a specialization in Acting, Acting for TV and Film, and Estill Voice International (Singing and Voice).
  • Relevant degree in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
  • Commitment to student development and achievement.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Certified Level 1 and Level 2 Estill Voice International training.
