Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and Complex Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized behaviour interventions to support children with challenging behaviour.
  • Work on a 1:1 basis with children who have SEMH, Autism, and Complex Needs.
  • Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Support children with their daily living skills, personal care, and social skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH, Autism, and Complex Needs.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
  • Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/ Child and Adult Workforce) registered to the Update Service.
  • Available for Full-Time Work – Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm.
  • Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent (not essential).
