Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled High Intensity Psychological Therapist to join our expanding team of mental health professionals in Swansea.

We are committed to delivering high-quality psychological therapy services, and as a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with moderate to severe and enduring mental health problems achieve their recovery goals.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work closely with other members of the team, ensuring seamless step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to support good transitions as part of a stepped/matched care approach. You will be expected to deliver evidence-based interventions developed from psychological theory and practice, using standardised psychological therapies such as CBT and IPT.

The ideal candidate will have completed one year of recognised full-time (or equivalent part-time) psychotherapy or counselling training, leading to a qualification, certification or accreditation recognised by a relevant professional or regulatory body. They will also be a member of a relevant professional or regulatory body and continue to fulfil any of its accreditation or membership criteria.

A competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum reflects the challenging yet rewarding nature of this role. To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate experience of psychological therapy services within the NHS or in the private or voluntary sectors. On-going supervision of therapeutic work is also essential. A confirmed competence in working constructively with clients and colleagues, along with empathy and compassion towards others, is also required.
