Job Title: Supporting SEND Students in Bradford

We are recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in specialist SEND schools based in Bradford and surrounding areas. These schools cater to students aged 4-19 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). As a successful candidate, you will have experience supporting children and young people on a 1:1 or small group basis within a classroom setting.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have recent and relevant experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly those with Autism, SEMH needs, or complex learning difficulties.
  • You will have a patient, nurturing approach to supporting students with a wide range of abilities and needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other support staff.
  • The ability to adapt and respond to the dynamic and individual needs of students is crucial.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is required.
