About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Support Coordinator to join our 14-16 Alternative Provision at Bradford College. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our campus, supporting students in their learning and activities, and maintaining a welcoming and visible presence around the college.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome young people into the building, ensuring everything is running smoothly and supporting students engaging with their learning and activities
  • Maintain a welcoming and visible presence around campus
  • SUPPORT THE DELIVERY OF ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
  • Support and advise on safeguarding concerns, referrals, and welfare
  • Respond to issues of concern regarding learner behaviour and welfare and support staff with behaviour management
  • Minimise disruption to learning and teaching by ensuring high expectations and standards concerning compliant behaviour and behaviour for learning in line with the provisions Positive Behaviour Policy
  • Act as first aider
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in line with College policies
  • Liaise closely and regularly with college Security and Liaison Officers on other campuses to ensure consistent and swift interventions and practice
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need sound knowledge of the social, economic, and personal factors which present risk to students, and be able to demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity. You should have patience, empathy, and understanding of students' backgrounds and needs. This is a term-time role working 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
