About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to join our team at Inchcape Retail, part of Group 1 Automotive. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing profitability by procuring quality indirect goods and services at the best value, without compromising on quality or ethics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting & Dashboards
    • Provide meaningful insights using reports and dashboards to drive operational efficiencies and optimize our spend base.
    • Maintain and update procurement reports, spend, savings, and contract dashboards on an ongoing basis.
    • Sourcing, compiling, and analyzing information to support decision-making for Procurement projects, category plans, and tenders.
    • Use reports to challenge spend, such as through leaked supplier spend analysis, category spend analysis, and trends across the business.
  • Project Management
    • Gain experience in procurement projects by managing a section of suppliers and/or small value contracts.
    • Work collaboratively with the business to ensure projects meet business needs and sustainability goals.
  • Procurement Tasks
    • Liaise and present to suppliers, internal departments, and senior management team with confidence.
    • Support supplier reviews to ensure contracted service levels are being adhered to.
    • Challenge traditional thinking with guidance and innovative solutions.
    • Set up and maintain P2P functionality to control and manage business purchasing.
    • Work closely with the Procurement team, supporting them with clear analysis of spend, performance data, supplier MI, building tenders, RFP submissions, and market analysis.
    Requirements
    • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
    • Computer literate (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets.
    • Ideal experience in Procurement with familiarity in ERP or P2P systems (Coupa, SAP, Oracle) and exposure to Power BI or Alteryx.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Organized with strong presentation skills and attention to detail.
    • Team player with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
    • Keen interest in career progression within procurement, including potential CIPS training.
