Sellick Partnership is actively seeking to appoint multiple Procurement Category Specialists for our esteemed healthcare client located in Birmingham.
Objective: Procurement Category Specialist
- Support the Head of Procurement in engaging with stakeholders and delivering essential services.
- Develop and execute strategies to facilitate and oversee contracts.
- Effectively manage internal operations and resources to achieve cost-saving targets and operational plans.
- Foster professional relationships, implement necessary changes, and provide support.
- Empower the Procurement team to enhance service delivery to stakeholders, improve expertise, and build capacity.
Core Responsibilities: Procurement Category Specialist
- Lead and coordinate the tendering process, ensuring all documentation is prepared accurately.
- Analyze and assess submitted tender proposals.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant national procurement legislation.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for cost improvements.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant commodities and supply markets.
- Keep detailed and organized records of all procurement activities.
- Assist in the evaluation of performance audits.

- Proven experience within a Procurement team.
- Background in Procurement and Contract Management.
