Sellick Partnership is actively seeking to appoint multiple Procurement Category Specialists for our esteemed healthcare client located in Birmingham.

Objective: Procurement Category Specialist

  • Support the Head of Procurement in engaging with stakeholders and delivering essential services.
  • Develop and execute strategies to facilitate and oversee contracts.
  • Effectively manage internal operations and resources to achieve cost-saving targets and operational plans.
  • Foster professional relationships, implement necessary changes, and provide support.
  • Empower the Procurement team to enhance service delivery to stakeholders, improve expertise, and build capacity.

Core Responsibilities: Procurement Category Specialist

  • Lead and coordinate the tendering process, ensuring all documentation is prepared accurately.
  • Analyze and assess submitted tender proposals.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant national procurement legislation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for cost improvements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant commodities and supply markets.
  • Keep detailed and organized records of all procurement activities.
  • Assist in the evaluation of performance audits.

Candidate Profile: Procurement Category Specialist

  • Proven experience within a Procurement team.
  • Background in Procurement and Contract Management.
  • Experience in negotiating complex agreements.
  • Strong understanding of contract management principles.
