Key Responsibilities




  • Oversee a small team of technicians, administration staff, and cleaners, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Manage the maintenance schedule for a fleet of approximately 80 vehicles, addressing any defects that may arise.
  • Review daily defect reports from drivers and coordinate necessary repairs to maintain the fleet's optimal condition.
  • Order parts and check prices to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely repairs.
  • Schedule and manage MOTs for the fleet, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork for company audits, upholding high standards of compliance.
  • Schedule and oversee external work and brake tests as needed.
  • Ensure proper stock levels of parts and tools to support maintenance operations.
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings to promote smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate training sessions for staff to maintain their necessary skills and certifications.
  • Communicate daily with the operations team to update them on vehicle status and progress.
  • Attend meetings with senior management as required to ensure alignment with company objectives.


Requirements




  • Minimum 2 years of experience with heavy vehicles.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Ability to work every other weekend.
