About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Urology Cancer Pathway Navigator to join our team at West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Urology department, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of our prostate cancer service.

Main Responsibilities

As a Urology Cancer Pathway Navigator, you will be responsible for tracking and navigating patients through the urology cancer pathways. You will provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative service to the clinical team members of the urology cancer pathways.

You will work closely with the clinical triage teams for the urology cancer pathways, key stakeholders from other services, and liaison with other hospitals. You will help identify capacity issues and escalate these in a timely manner, and respond to patient enquiries. This role will involve cross-site working.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will have a working knowledge of hospital computer systems, including Patient Centre and Infoflex, and experience of working in/or with cancer MDT teams.

You will have a proven track record of working to deadlines and targets, and experience of communicating complex instructions with sensitivity to patients and relatives. You will be able to work flexibly and be part of a team that values innovation and continuous improvement.
