Job Title: Educational Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Educational Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students in and out of the classroom
  • Assist teachers in delivering learning activities and interventions
  • Foster positive relationships with students and promote their social and emotional well-being
  • Implement behavior management strategies and de-escalation techniques as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEMH needs is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and passion for supporting young people facing challenges
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviors
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing needs of students and school community

Working Hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 08:15 - 15:30
Tuesday: 08:15 - 16:15
Wednesday: 08:15 - 15:00

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Teaching Personnel offers a competitive salary range, inclusive of statutory holiday pay.
