About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Specialist to join our team at MUFG. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and effective Customer Due Diligence, ensuring that all entities and structures are properly on-boarded and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Quality Control Assessments on entities and structures across all business lines, including new business, periodic reviews, and event-driven reviews.
  • Identify thematic issues within the on-boarding process and recommend appropriate actions to management.
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance on any issues identified within the QA process and make relevant changes to the QC process as needed.
  • Support the lead in the development and roll-out of a suite of training for new and existing team members on all KYC/On-Boarding procedural related aspects.
  • Deliver training to front office representatives on KYC/On-Boarding procedural related aspects.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in relation to all AML On-Boarding aspects and assist on ad-hoc queries as required.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in Anti-Money Laundering, fraud, and bribery or Financial Crime roles.
  • Experience with Investment Banking and the on-boarding of corporate entities, including private companies and SPVs.
  • Experience of managing a KYC team or function is beneficial.
