Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our innovative, forward-thinking team in the Laser Service at Plastic Surgery Out Patient Department, Burns and Plastics Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Royal Hospital for Children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and consolidate knowledge in laser therapies and laser conditions.
  • Work autonomously within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a diverse patient group.
  • Support the Lead Laser NP in the day-to-day running of the department and deputise in their absence.
  • Provide direct patient care, lifestyle health and promotion advice, and support psychological needs during laser surgery.
  • Provide education to pre- and post-nurses and medical staff.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday 08.30-16.30. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
