**Job Title:** SEN Teacher Support Specialist
**Location:** London, Brent
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher Support Specialist to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As an SEN Teacher Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
**About the Role:
This is a full-time permanent position, and we offer a competitive salary of £28,500 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, we provide access to ongoing training and development opportunities in mental health and SEN support.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students;
- A compassionate patient and resilient approach to supporting students with emotional and behavioural difficulties;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents;
- Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or mental health support (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification).

As an SEN Teacher Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage in learning and develop coping strategies. You will also assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) in collaboration with teachers and SEN staff.
