About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Support Worker to join our dynamic team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our physiotherapy team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the rehabilitation of patients with medical, surgical, and orthopaedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physiotherapists in delivering specified assessment and treatment programmes to patients, working unsupervised with familiar patients and collaborating with qualified and unqualified staff.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to qualified staff and students, undertaking delegated housekeeping and stock control tasks.
  • Participate in the weekend service, working in specific specialties that may include the treatment of children, and contribute to existing weekend rotas within the different areas.
Requirements
  • Essential: 5 GCSEs (grades 9-4 or A*, A, B, C), or equivalent level 2 qualification(s) and Functional Skills (level 2), or a level 2 apprenticeship, such as the Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship.
  • Desirable: Previous relevant in-service training and evidence of team working.
