Job Summary

As a skilled General Practice Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and management expertise to enable Llandrindod Wells Medical Practice to achieve its goals and objectives in a profitable, efficient, safe, and effective working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Management and Planning: Ensure compliance with NHS Wales and statutory requirements, represent the practice in Cluster/Collaborative meetings, and keep abreast of current affairs to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Financial Management: Manage practice budgets, maximize income, and ensure equitable allocation of local and national resources.
  • Human Resources: Oversee recruitment, retention, and personnel management, ensuring all staff are legally employed and adequately trained.
  • Organisational: Convene meetings, develop practice protocols, and maintain practice premises and equipment.
  • Patient Services: Adopt a strategic approach to patient services, ensure compliance with NHS contractual obligations, and develop an effective appointments system.
  • Information Management and Technology: Evaluate and plan practice IT implementation, ensure data security, and maintain the practice website and social media.
Requirements
  • Professional management qualification or relevant experience.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Previous experience of managing a team, financial management, and HR.
  • Project management skills, ability to delegate, and a positive attitude in the workplace.
