This is an exciting opportunity to lead our expanding central technician team and champion Technical Services staff across the University and externally.

The successful candidate will provide leadership on the direction and delivery of the Technician Commitment Action Plan (TCAP) Phase 3.

Key responsibilities will include providing clear leadership and central oversight in the development, delivery, and evaluation of the technical services provided.

The successful candidate will also develop a technical skills framework that aligns with the technical staff career development pathways and boosts technical skills, knowledge, and career development.

Additionally, the candidate will contribute to working groups and projects developing policies, frameworks, and resources that support improved technician culture at Cambridge.

As the ideal candidate, you will have experience in Technician Services, ideally within a Higher Education environment, and a proven track record of leading and delivering projects that have added value to the organisation.

Excellent leadership and management skills, persuasion and influencing skills, and the ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and consultatively at all levels are essential.
