Designated Doctor for Safeguarding Children and Young People

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Designated Doctor to join the Safeguarding Team at NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on this strategic role, working closely with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of care for children and young people.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide clinical expertise and strategic leadership on all aspects of safeguarding children's health services across the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin area. This will involve working closely with the ICB Safeguarding Team, local authorities, police, and other healthcare services to ensure that all organizations meet their statutory responsibilities to safeguard and protect children and young people.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatrics, with experience in safeguarding children and families. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and police officers.
