Job Title: Technical Coordinator

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Technical Coordinator to join our team on a permanent basis. Located in Bishops Stortford, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for creating, delivering, and continually improving financial and contractual control of projects to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of business control procedures and the ability to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the company's ambassador for the department, possessing an in-depth knowledge of procedures, programs, and workloads.
  • Identify further development potential and implement improvements.
  • Conduct condition surveys on listed buildings to assess repair requirements, including recording defects and proposed designs.
  • Assist the Pre-construction Coordinator in advising on queries from construction and commercial teams regarding repairs.
  • Support the Pre-construction team in producing drawings and reports based on marked-up plans and sketches.
  • Carry out setting-out of proposed floor and service plans within buildings to be retained, evaluating designs and gathering information.
  • Produce clear and accurate reports, drawings, and schedules indicating required repairs to the building fabric.
Requirements:
  • Hold a recognized qualification in Building Surveying and/or Construction Management.
  • Have a basic, practical, and demonstrable knowledge of Building Surveying, CAD, and Construction practices.
  • Have a basic understanding of construction methodology and various types of construction contracts.
  • Have an in-depth understanding and appreciation of Health & Safety.
  • Be financially aware, with cost management skills.
  • Be computer literate, with proficiency in Word, Excel, Email, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
