Nes Fircroft is currently seeking a highly skilled Distribution Network Engineer to join their team. As a key member of our electrical engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering consultancy services in the fields of distribution network engineering.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in working with Transmission and Distribution systems. You will be responsible for leading and delivering projects, working closely with clients to ensure their needs are met.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Design check and approve P&C schemes in accordance with established standards.
  • Provide technical support and Work Breakdown Structures for tendering purposes.
  • Assume the role of 'Task Information Manager/Task Team Interface Manager or Task Team Manager' on BIM projects.
  • Liaise directly with clients and lead meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Deliver technically excellent engineering designs and consultancy services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification of HNC/HND in the related engineering field and 8 years of applicable experience, or minimum of 12 years' experience in lieu of HNC/HND.
  • Senior Designer - Minimum qualification of HNC/HND in the related engineering field and 5 years of applicable experience, or minimum of 9 years' experience in lieu of HNC/HND.
  • Proven knowledge of Transmission or Distribution practices (400kV to 11 kV).
  • Good teamwork, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office, Autocad.
  • Electricity supply industry experience.
  • Understanding/Knowledge of Distribution Network Operator/National Grid etc. standards and drawing practices.
