About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Operations Manager to join our team at CREDIBLE RECRUITMENT LIMITED. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our ocean freight operations and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to our ocean freight operations team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance metrics to measure the success of our ocean freight operations, and make data-driven decisions to drive business growth.
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase revenue growth through sales and business development initiatives.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with ocean carriers and other stakeholders to secure the best possible rates and services for our customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of experienced freight operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, and identify and mitigate risks to the business.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of current operational experience/knowledge in the freight industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of NVOCC management experience with a proven record of delivering success.
  • Sales experience and working knowledge of the international transportation/logistics market and cultural differences.
  • Familiarity with financial aspects of the local economy.
  • Ability to create commitment, give direction, and follow up accordingly.
  • Motivate and develop people to implement change.

  • Ability to think and act strategically.
