Building Programmes Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Building Programmes Specialist to join our team at McAleer & Rushe Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective Programme Management of various Tenders focused on residential, student, hotels, and office schemes throughout the UK.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Pre-Construction Planning: Assist the Pre Construction Team in planning and executing projects from start to finish.
  2. Tender Document Analysis: Analyse tender documents and understand employer's requirements.
  3. Tender Programmes Development: Develop programmes with reference to all stages such as pre construction, design, procurement, and construction.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with estimators and bid managers to develop detailed submissions.
  5. Senior Management Liaison: Communicate with Senior Management throughout the tender process and present programme information.
  6. Programme Presentations: Present programme aspects during Mid and Post Tender Interviews.
  7. Supporting 4D Digital Aspects: Contribute to 4D Digital aspects of the tender process.
  8. Risk Management: Collaborate with the Project Risk and Opportunities Register throughout the bid process.
  9. Scenario Planning: Identify potential risks using 'what-if' scenario analysis.
  10. Tracking Assumptions: Record any assumptions or constraints used in developing Tender Programmes.
  11. Programme Revision Control: Manage and track programme revisions.
  12. Reviewing Subcontractor Programmes: Compare subcontractor programmes with tender proposals.
  13. Clear Communication: Engage with subcontractors and suppliers for programme clarity.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant construction qualification.
  2. Strong understanding of construction techniques and methodologies.
  3. Desirable: Experience in tender planning.
  4. Ability to multitask between multiple live tenders.
  5. Proficiency in Asta Power Project.
  6. IT literacy and Microsoft Office skills.
  7. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  8. Organised and methodical approach to work.
  9. Adaptability and flexibility in working to deadlines.
  10. Occasional site visits.
  11. Candidates must have the necessary work permit or right to work in the UK.

Salary Information: Estimated salary range: £45,000 - £60,000 per year, dependent on experience.
