About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Crisis Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical care to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments and develop effective care plans to meet the needs of service users.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with service users, carers, and colleagues to promote good client care and deliver initiatives such as the Care Programme Approach.
  • Provide complex information and support service users through their recovery period using persuasive, motivational, negotiating, empathic, and reassuring skills.
  • Develop and complete risk assessments, analyzing and deciding the most appropriate approach to implementing care plans, agreeing objectives with service users and carers.

Person Specification

Essential qualifications include:

  • RVN or RNLD or RN: 1st Level Registration (NMC) or degree or equivalent.
  • Evidence of specialized continued professional training in clinical practice.
  • Sound knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Government principles.
  • Sound knowledge of the national agenda for mental health.
  • Relevant experience of working with mental health needs.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Previous experience working as a registered mental health nurse with people with mental health problems.
  • Personal experience in the delivery of physical care to others.

Essential skills and competences include:

  • Highly motivated and able to engage with service users and carers to improve outcomes.
