Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Programme Manager to lead the delivery of strategic programmes within our portfolio of change, focusing on Adult Social Care and Children's Services. This role requires a seasoned programme manager with a strong track record of delivering projects within these domains, including staff management skills and the ability to understand technical system designs and concepts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Delivery and Monitoring: Ensure the successful delivery and monitoring of core strategic programmes within a portfolio of change, meeting their objectives and delivering value to our stakeholders.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on programme objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure accurate and reliable reporting across programmes, capturing lessons learned, and aligning with Business Change and PMO departments.
  • Project Management: Oversee IT project/programme delivery, manage project budgets and resources, and resolve issues and dependencies, ensuring efficient use of resources and achieving desired outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in programme and project management, preferably in IT or technology sectors, with a focus on Adult Social Care and Children's Services.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and software applications, with experience in data, system, and workflow improvements, and implementation of new portals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritising tasks, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
