The Essex County Council 'Approved Mental Health Professional Service' is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join their dynamic team. This role involves working collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage workloads and provide supervision, specialist advice, and professional expertise for AMHPs.
  • Undertake statutory assessments and triage initial enquiries in line with statutory duties.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex mental health issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the deputy team manager to coordinate and allocate incoming referrals.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance. You will have significant experience of social work and be able to model good practice in complex situations. Additionally, you will be able to mentor both newly qualified and experienced team members.
