Position: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Stockton-on-Tees and surrounding areas
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our client's global facilities management team. As a dedicated professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services and ensuring the comfort and safety of commercial property occupants.
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position covering commercial properties in Stockton-on-Tees.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
On-call: 1 in 4 - standby pay
Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £40,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on various air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRVs/VRFs, and chillers.
- Diagnose and repair faults on HVAC systems, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Carry out installation and commissioning of HVAC systems when required.
- Undertake general fabric maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including reports and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in air conditioning systems.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification.
- F-Gas Category 1 certification is desirable.
- 18th edition is desirable.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems in commercial environments.
- Basic knowledge and experience in general fabric maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
